I got the 4-5t for my almost 4 year old and I do wish I got a bigger size. With a fluffy coat on it is a bit tight already. But love this vest is very reflective and makes me feel better when we're scooting around the neighborhood at night and the mesh will be great in summer. No regrets! Very comfy!

This is a lightweight, high-visibility children's safety vest designed for outdoor activities like cycling, running, and walking, as well as dress-up play and costume use. Built from breathable mesh fabric with premium 3M reflective striping, it features an easy-to-use adjustable hook-and-loop front closure that lets kids put it on and take it off independently. Designed to enhance child visibility in low-light environments while keeping them cool and comfortable, this vest provides an extra layer of safety and fun at a very affordable price point.
Technical and Utility Highlights 3M High-Visibility Reflective Striping: Equipped with genuine 3M reflective tape across the chest and back to catch headlights and outdoor lighting, ensuring maximum visibility during evening walks or bike rides.
Lightweight Breathable Mesh Fabric: Constructed from fine-weave polyester mesh that allows maximum airflow, keeping kids cool and comfortable over t-shirts, jackets, or play clothes.
Easy Adjustable Front Closure: Features a durable hook-and-loop (Velcro) front strap that allows quick sizing adjustments and effortless self-dressing for toddlers and young children.
Dual-Purpose Design: Perfect for real-world outdoor safety (cycling, walking to school, roadside safety) as well as creative pretend play, career days, and junior construction worker costumes.
Durable & Washable Build: Reinforced edge binding prevents fraying, while the polyester mesh material rinses clean and dries quickly after muddy outdoor adventures.
Sizing and Care Guidelines Sizing Recommendation: Fits fairly accurate to age brackets, but tends to run slightly snug when worn over heavy winter coats or bulky sweatshirts. Consider sizing up if you plan to use it primarily over cold-weather outerwear.
Wearing & Adjusting: Secure the front hook-and-loop fastener snugly over your child's shoulders, ensuring the reflective strips circle the torso cleanly without twisting.
Cleaning & Care: Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cold cycle and line dry. Avoid bleach or high-heat dryer cycles to preserve the brilliance of the 3M reflective tape.
Final Verdict A fantastic, highly practical safety vest for kids that balances real outdoor protection with fun everyday utility. The 3M reflective strips stand out brightly, the mesh material is light and breathable, and the simple adjustable closure makes it super easy for kids to wear. While it runs just a bit on the small side if layering over heavy jackets, the overall sizing is pretty accurate and fits well over everyday clothing. Delivering great quality, high visibility, and excellent value at a budget-friendly price, this vest is highly recommended for parents and kids alike!

Ensuring small children stay highly visible to traffic during dusk or dawn activities is a massive priority for any parent, and this neon mesh protective vest handles the task flawlessly. The overall structural quality of the fabric feels durable yet remarkably featherweight, draping loosely over regular clothing without restricting a child's natural range of motion during active play.
The Outing Setup:
I received this safety gear through the Vine program and integrated it immediately into our neighborhood routine for family walks and biking sessions. The bright orange neon color pops vividly against background foliage even in overcast weather, and the 2-inch silver reflective bands catch headlight beams instantly from a distance. One highly practical sizing tip before ordering: the cut runs relatively true to the age breakdown, but the polyester mesh has zero built-in stretch or give. If your child is planning to wear this during late fall or winter over a bulky fleece jacket or a heavy puffer coat, save yourself the hassle of an exchange and order one full size up. This guarantees enough front clearance for the hook-and-loop pads to meet securely without pinching across their chest.
Real-World Utility:
In terms of actual field performance, it has been an absolute win. The wide hook-and-loop front closure is perfectly scaled for independent small hands, allowing my little guy to tear it open and secure it flush all by himself without needing adult assistance. The open-weave mesh design is incredibly breathable, allowing total airflow so he stays cool and comfortable even when pedaling hard on hot summer afternoons. It survives being tossed into the grass and thrown into a standard cold machine wash cycle without the edge binding fraying or the reflective strips cracking. While this item was provided to me for evaluation purposes, these observations are the direct result of our hands-on backyard and roadside testing

My daughter loves pink so I got this for her, both incase we ever need it but also for her dress up box. The reflectors work! Pink is a bit less vibrant in the dark than the traditional flourscent green, so if I was getting this purely for nighttime safety Id go with that but in daytime the pink is very vibrant too. I ordered a small, despite my kid being 4, so there is plenty of room to grow into it. Small definitely seems more like a preteen size which is accurate to the size chart! This did feel slightly pricey, but I may be biased because I have gotten other kid safety vests as free swag (not pink though) but I feel like it should last a while.

We walk my grandson to school every morning. We live just a short distance from the school on a very busy arterial road where people tend to drive too fast through the school zone (slow down, people!). We already have an adult-sized safety vest, but when I saw this one, I knew it would be perfect for his 5-year-old self. It certainly helps ease my anxiety as we move into the winter months with shorter daylight hours. As a driver myself, I really appreciate it when pedestrians and bicyclists wear reflective gear. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing more everyday fashion wear that addresses these safety concerns. I want to be able to see pedestrians at night and in the early morning when it is still dark. Nothing is scarier than coming up on a soul who is wearing all black, where their movement is the only warning you have that someone is even there. The construction is typical of a safety vest, and it appears to be well-made, lightweight, and highly reflective under low-light conditions. I chose yellow because it is one of his favorite colors among his favorite TV characters. He actually came walking into our house with it on and immediately got a great comment from a passing driver who called out to say she could easily see him. This vest gives great peace of mind, and anything that helps to keep him safe gets 5 stars from me.

We got this kids' construction safety vest in orange, and my kids love it. I ordered the 3X Small for my 3- and 4-year-olds, and it fits them perfectly. I used the size chart to figure out which size to order, and fortunately it worked out really well for us.
At $9.99, I think it's a good price for a construction vest for dress-up play, and we may also use it as part of a Halloween costume. It's reflective, has Velcro down the center, and is very easy for the kids to put on and take off. They can move around comfortably in it, and they've had a lot of fun wearing it.
No complaints from us!
**Pros:**
* 3X Small fits my 3- and 4-year-olds well * Size chart was accurate for us * Easy Velcro closure * Lightweight and easy to move around in * Reflective * Great for dress-up or a Halloween costume * Good value at $9.99

This safety vest has had a lot of use in a short amount of time. I got the 3xsmall which is a little big but still works for my boy that just turned 2. It is a perfect fit, maybe slightly small, for my 3.5 year old daughter. I love that it can fit both right now. The velcro attaches well. I love that it doesn't snag the mesh when it does attach there accidentally. Overall, a really great bright saftey vest. Very much recommended.
