Why do my uplights randomly turn on by themselves in the middle of the night?

I had the same issue. It’s the Timer button on the remote, easy to hit by accident. Just unplug for 10 seconds, then plug back in. That clears the timer and resets to default. Worked for me.

You say it has memory, but why does a timer disappear after a power outage?

The memory holds only if you power off with the remote. A power outage or unplug = factory reset. For timers to survive, keep it plugged in and always use the remote.
