The SmartPlug 50 AMP Inlet & Female Cord Connector Combo – Grey is a robust marine-grade shore power connection system that delivers reliable 50 A electrical hookup between your vessel and dock power with corrosion-resistant construction. Designed with weather-tight seals and precision contacts, it ensures safe, secure, and easy plug-and-play power transfer while reducing the risk of arcing or connection issues.
Overheating from a loose 50 amp rv plug is a real fire risk. This kit uses 20x more electrical contact surface area than twist-type designs, so high-amperage rv electrical loads stay cool and stable.
The body only fits one way, so you can’t plug it in wrong even in the dark. Side clips on the rv inlet click and lock, which means your 50 amp inlet stays put no matter how much the cord moves around.
Whether it’s a boat or an rv camper, this kit works for both without buying separate parts. It’s one of the few rv essentials that covers marine shore power and RV campsite hookups in the same setup.
If you’re swapping out an old 50 amp power inlet, you don’t need to drill new holes or rewire anything. The mounting flange matches standard rv receptacle cutouts, so most installs wrap up in under 30 minutes.
The non-metallic inlet comes in white, gray, or black, so it fits right into your rv trailer or boat exterior without looking like an afterthought. One of the smarter boat accessories for a clean, finished look.
Customers find the shore power inlet and connector to be a great product that’s easy to use, with strong construction and a secure fit that locks into place. They appreciate its functionality and durability, noting it will last a long time. While some customers consider it worth the money, others find it pricey.
