Why does the Lesure car seat have a higher front than others?

For maximum safety. The raised front design acts as a protective barrier, effectively preventing your dog from being thrown forward during sudden stops.

Why do you offer two sizes?

Because a “one-size-fits-all” seat isn’t safe. Miniature dogs (up to 10 lbs) and small/Medium dogs (up to 25 lbs) need different seat depths and cushion heights. Tailored sizes ensure a safe, snug fit while letting them enjoy the window view.

Why isn’t a bigger car seat always better?

A snug fit is crucial for safety. Unlike a regular home bed, a car seat needs to hold your dog securely to prevent them from sliding or getting hurt during sudden stops.

Must I use a harness with this car seat?

YES. Always attach the safety tether to a harness, NEVER a collar. Using a collar poses a severe choking hazard during sudden stops.

Why are there two attachment options (One-Hook & Two-Hook)?

One-hook is for standard walking harnesses. Two-hook is for specialized car harnesses to distribute pressure evenly during hard braking.

(Note: Always secure the tether to your car’s seatbelt according to the instruction.)

Human-Inspired Safety for Dogs: Most dog car seats strap around the headrest. One sudden brake and the whole seat lurches forward. Lesure’s SafeRide puppy car seat routes your vehicle’s seat belt through its rear panel, anchoring the seat to the same system that protects you through sudden stops, turns, and bumps. Fits most vehicles and swaps between cars in minutes.
A Higher Front for Hard Stops: If a pet car seat’s front sits too low, hard braking can send your dog over the edge and out of the seat. This car seat for dogs pairs a raised front barrier with size-matched seat depth to create a deeper, more contained space that helps keep your dog securely inside, even when you brake suddenly.
Harness-to-Seatbelt Attachment: This small dog car seat for dogs comes with a safety leash that also connects to your vehicle’s seat belt, helping keep your dog centered with less room to roam or distract you. Use both hooks with a compatible dual-ring car harness, or use the leash’s built-in D-ring to create a Y-shaped single-ring connection.
Size-Tuned Booster Height: Small dogs can feel uneasy when they sit too low to see out. XS combines a 5-inch boost with 9-inch depth, while S/M pairs a 3-inch boost with 12-inch depth. These size-specific proportions provide a better window view and a snugger fit for neighborhood rides, park trips, and everyday outings.
Comfort That Settles Travel Nerves: Supportive foam help the dog booster car seat hold its shape mile after mile. Soft faux fur, a PP-filled headrest, and a handy pocket round out a cozy den your dog can sink into. It’s the kind of calm that makes vet days less dreaded, holiday road trips more peaceful, and the first ride home with a new rescue a little easier.
