he pull string alarm is a reliable monitoring tool that lets caregivers know if their elderly loved one is trying to get up, even if they’re in the other room.

Easy to Use

The Pull Cord Alarm is quick and easy to use. Simply attach the magnet at one end of the string to the metal plate on the monitor, insert a 9V DC battery (not included), set volume to HI (80 dB) or LO (65 dB), and clip the other end of the string to the back of your elderly loved one’s clothing while they are seated.

When they start to get up, the magnet gets pulled off of the monitor and this triggers the alarm. You can adjust the sensitivity by adjusting the string length.

The Pull String Alarm Kit comes with everything you need to help you monitor your senior loved ones. The box contains an alert monitor with adjustable volume, a buckle strap that slips under the metal clip to expand attachment options, and the adjustable-length pull cord.

Pull String Alarm: Help Prevent Falls & Wandering Magnet Attached: Alarm is Set

The string has a magnet on one end that sticks to a metal plate on the monitor. The other end of the string clips to your elderly loved one’s clothing. We recommend clipping to their upper back. This type of alarm works best in a chair. Cord length can be adjusted for a max reach of up to 35 inches.

Magnet Detached: Alarm Goes Off

When the senior begins to get up, the magnet gets pulled off of the monitor, and the loss of magnetic contact causes an audible alarm to go off, alerting a nearby caregiver that their elderly loved one may need help. Alarm volume can be adjusted to 80 dB on HI, or 65 dB on low.

The string is too short! How can I adjust the length of the pull string cord to be longer?

Simply untie both ends and remove the clip. Rethread both ends through cord lock, up through bottom & down through top, parellel to each other. Tie one end to clip and knot other end of loose string. Now the cord can adjust up to 35 inches.

Pull-String Mobility Monitoring Alarm with Magnet.
For use in a chair, place the alarm on the back of the chair and attach the locking garment clip to the resident. When the resident moves further then the string is set, the magnet will be pulled free from the alarm and it will sound continuous until the caregiver re-attaches the magnet to the alarm.
Alarm features include 36″ string with locking metal garment clip, magnetic connection, low and high volume adjustment, low battery light, and metal clip fixed to the back of the alarm for secure placement.
Alarm requires one 9 volt battery, not included.
