Q: Why can tap water be used?

A: Unlike an atomizing humidifier, it leaves most mineral residue in the wick filter instead of dispersing it into the room. Hard water may require more frequent cleaning or wick filter replacement.

Q: What should I do if the wick filter has an odor?

A: A slight odor from a new wick filter is normal and should fade with use. Later odors may result from standing water, moisture, or buildup. Clean the tank and wick filter weekly, empty unused water, use Dry Mode, and replace the wick filter if odor remains.

Q: Why does the displayed humidity differ from another hygrometer?

A: The humidifier uses a capacitive humidity sensor to provide stable humidity monitoring near the unit. Even hygrometers placed in the same room may show slightly different readings because of differences in sensor type, placement, airflow, room conditions, and natural humidity fluctuations. A small difference is normal and does not indicate a product fault. For a more representative reading, keep the unit away from walls, corners, and areas with restricted airflow.

Q: What should I do if the humidifier isn’t reaching the selected humidity?

A: Performance varies with room size, ventilation, starting humidity, fan speed, and wick filter condition. Keep doors and windows closed and make sure the wick filter is clean and fully wet. The unit uses a preset humidity differential to prevent frequent starting and stopping near the target.

Q: Does the machine make any noise?

A: Normal operating sounds include steady airflow and occasional water-pump or water-flow sounds. Sleep Mode lowers the fan noise and turns off the display after five seconds. Continuous buzzing, rattling, or knocking is not normal and should be checked. Please take care not to let coins, jewellery, small toys, or other loose items fall into the top air outlet, as they may cause unusual noise or affect operation.

Q: Does the included hose fit every faucet?

A: The included hose works with many common faucets, but faucet sizes and shapes vary. It may not form a fixed connection with every design and may need to be held in place during filling. Use a low water flow, monitor the water level, and stop when the maximum level is reached.

Q: When and How should I clean the unit?

A: Clean the unit about once a week, or sooner if odor or visible buildup appears. Cleaning frequency may be adjusted based on water quality and usage habits, but regular cleaning is still recommended. Add a properly diluted citric-acid solution, reinstall the tank and wick filter assembly, and run the 30-minute Self Clean Mode. After the Self Clean cycle, empty the unit, remove and rinse the water-contact parts, then reassemble and use Dry Mode or allow the parts to air-dry completely.

Q: When should the wick filter be replaced?

A: Replace the wick filter if odor remains after cleaning, non-removable buildup or discoloration appears, humidification performance decreases noticeably, or the filter becomes severely deformed.

Q: Can I add essential oils or fragrance to the water tank?

A: No. Do not add essential oils, fragrance, medication, or other liquids to the water tank. Use clean water only. This unit is compatible with Aeocky 2nd-Generation deodor aromatherapy gel accessories when used as directed. Deodor aromatherapy gel is not included.
