Does this fixture have a battery test switch?

Yes, Includes push-to-test button and self-testing diagnostics for monthly code compliance. Caution: align back cover clips to avoid damaging test button.

What does the self test feature mean?How do you know when it goes bad? Is there a indication light or something?

The self test feature will test the unit automatically once every month and once every 6 months. If there is a problem the indicator light will turn from green to red. There is still a push button to manually test the unit when needed.

What battery is included?

Includes a 4.8V 1800mAh Nickel Cadmium battery backup to provide 90 minutes of emergency illumination.

Is it suitable for wet locations?

Yes, it’s IP 65 waterproof, perfect for patios, outdoor waiting areas, entrances, and parking areas are properly illuminated even during power outages.
