YoLink, a US corporation based in Lake Foreset, California, is a line of smart products for residential and commercial use, utilizing wireless technology initially utilized for industrial and other large-scale applications. This technology, LoRa, short for Long-Range, by Semtech, is unique to the smart home market, and provides benefits that include over a 2,034 feet range, superior obstruction penetration (including metal!) as well as extended battery life (up to 10 years!). YoLink benefits include a more secure home or business network, due to a centralized and encrypted internet connection, since the devices are not connected to the internet and they do not rely on WiFi. All communication is encrypted and controlled by Amazon Web Services, for finance-grade security, backups and redundancies. Our patented “Control-D2D” device-to-device pairing allows for establishing device behaviors in advance, ensuring functionality even with the loss of WiFi, internet and AC power*, making it perfect for your critical (must-work) operations, including but not limited to water leak detection & automatic shut-off and intrusion detection and general security systems. *battery powered or backed-up devices
Many Uses! Burglar alarm, panic alarm, intrusion siren, trespassing and theft deterrent – activate the siren manually from the app and/or by motion detection or other automations (using the convenient free YoLink app)
Wireless & Flexible! Self-powered and wireless controller, just install the siren and controller wherever it is needed. No additional wires needed! Or, install the Controller connected to existing wiring, with the siren installed outside. (Both are outdoor-rated, but installing the Controller in plastic junction box or enclosure to protect wiring from elements, etc, is recommended)
Team Me Up! The siren & controller is best when teamed up with other YoLink products such as our Outdoor Motion Sensor, as well as Plugs and In-Wall Switches for flood lights and other exterior lighting control: activate the siren upon detection of activity on your property after-hours, and turn on flood lights to deter criminals and alert others
Longest Range, By Far! Only YoLink, powered by LoRa is capable of up to 2,034 feet range in open air, allowing you to locate the siren virtually anywhere on your property, with no concerns about WiFi signal or dependability
Seamlessly Works with SirenFob: SirenFob is specifically built to work seamlessly with the siren, allowing you to easily start the alarm, stop the alarm, mute the siren (disarm), or unmute the siren (arm) with the press of a button, providing reliable and efficient control for your security system.
OUTDOOR INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS — Designed for outdoor use, but not waterproof. Install the device in a protected location away from direct rain, standing water, condensation, and excessive moisture. Covered areas or enclosures may reduce exposure but may still collect humidity or condensation. Prolonged exposure to moisture can damage electronic components and affect device performance.
Customers find the alarm system exceeds expectations, is easy to set up, and offers great value. They appreciate its security features, with one customer noting they can turn it on when people approach their property. The loudness receives mixed feedback, with some finding it decently loud while others say it’s not loud enough. While the compatibility with YoLink’s ecosystem enhances its functionality, some customers report issues with Alexa integration. Customers find the customer support excellent, though opinions about ease of use are mixed.
