How Does FurZapper Work?

FurZapper doesn’t attract pet hair and lint to itself. The stickiness is enough to pull the hair away from your laundry in the washer and dryer. This allows the water to wash pet hair down the drain and collect in your dryer lint tray.

How Will I Know If My FurZapper Is Working?

Not because of how much fur and lint is “on” the FurZapper, that’s not how the product works. You’ll notice your laundry has less pet hair on it after the laundry cycle and your lint trap will collect more hair than normal.

How Many FurZappers Do I Need?

We recommend 1 FurZapper per medium-sized pet. However, the more the better! If you have a single pet that sheds their hair quite a lot, then a 2 or 4 pack may better suit your needs.

My FurZapper Isn’t Working! Do You Have Any Troubleshooting Tips?

Some laundry detergents and fabric softeners will add a film to the FurZapper’s surface. Simply take your FurZapper to the kitchen sink, and clean it with a few drops of dish soap and water. It will be tacky and sticky within 1 minute.

How Do I Make My FurZapper More Effective?

Do not overload your washer or dryer and try a half-full laundry load. Use lots of water with your wash, consider a pre-wash. Don’t use fabric softeners with your wash, as softeners act like an oil and reduce the stickiness of the FurZapper.

HELPS REDUCE PET HAIR DURING LAUNDRY: FurZapper is a reusable laundry aid designed to help loosen and remove loose dog and cat hair from washable fabrics as clothing moves through the washer and dryer. Results vary by fabric, hair type, amount of hair, appliance type, and load size.
LOAD-SIZE GUIDANCE: Use one FurZapper for a small-to-medium load with light or moderate pet hair. Use two for larger loads, bedding, blankets, heavier pet hair, or multiple shedding pets. Do not overload the washer or dryer; laundry and FurZappers must move freely. For multiple pets or heavy hair, use additional FurZappers.
USE IN WASHER AND DRYER: Place the FurZapper units in the washer with the laundry, then transfer the same units into the dryer. For heavily fur-covered items, remove excess loose fur before washing. Additional treatment or cycles may be required.
FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE: Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets because they may coat the FurZapper and reduce tackiness. If needed, clean the FurZapper with a small amount of dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to regain its tacky surface.
CARE AND LIMITATIONS: Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets with FurZapper because they may coat the surface and reduce performance. When needed, wash the discs with dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and allow them to dry on a nonporous drying rack. The product does not permanently trap or store collected hair; loosened hair will move into the dryer lint trap.
RESULTS VARY: Results depend on the amount and type of pet hair, fabric, load size, washer and dryer type, and laundry products used. FurZapper may not remove all embedded or heavily accumulated pet hair in one cycle.
Customers find the pet hair remover easy to use. However, the product’s effectiveness and hair removal capabilities receive mixed feedback – while some say it works great and does a good job with dog hair, others report it doesn’t work in the washer and doesn’t collect any hair. Moreover, the stickiness and cleaning aspects are also mixed, with some saying it sticks to the machine while others report it doesn’t stick at all, and while some find it easy to clean, others dislike having to clean it after each use. Additionally, many customers consider the product not worth the money.
