Product description

Is this hemp bedding safe for baby chicks and small animals?

Yes. RentACoop hemp bedding is made from 100% natural hemp with no chemicals or fragrances. Its soft, rounded fibers are gentle on chick feet, rabbit paws, and small animals, making it ideal for brooders and enclosures.

How much area does one 300L bale cover?

A 300-liter bale provides generous coverage for backyard coops and animal enclosures. One 300L bale expands to approximately 10.6 cubic feet and covers about 60 square feet at a 2-inch depth, ideal for a standard 6×10 coop.

Does hemp bedding clump when wet, or does it stay loose?

Hemp fibers absorb moisture rather than forming heavy clumps. The bedding remains workable and easy to sift, making spot cleaning simple while still locking in moisture effectively.

Does hemp bedding attract mites or pests?

Hemp is naturally less hospitable to mites compared to straw and some traditional bedding materials. Keeping bedding dry and regularly maintained further reduces the risk of pest issues.

Does hemp bedding have a strong smell?

Hemp bedding has a fresh, natural plant scent with no added fragrances. It is designed to control ammonia odors from droppings without introducing artificial scents into your coop or enclosure.
