Does it require any tools to assemble?

No tools are needed. Just hang it over a closet rod with the hooks and zip the tiers together. Installs in minutes.

Is the hanging closet organizer sturdy enough to hold heavy clothes or sweaters?

Yes. Each storage bin is supported by durable fabric, reinforced stitching, and 8 strong hooks. The zippered connections and anti-swing straps add stability, making it strong enough for sweaters, jeans, and even shoes.
