Product description

The Dog: Huan Chen

My puppy accompanied me for five years. Back then, getting from home to school meant climbing mountain after mountain, a one-way trip that took an hour and a half. Every day, it walked me to school, quietly chasing away the loneliness and fear along the mountain path.

Mom and Dad were always busy working outside, and our family was the only one on the entire mountain. When night fell, darkness wrapped around with mountain winds, and I would always feel scared. It was my puppy, sitting quietly by my side, that made the night feel safe and secure. I had no money to buy fancy things, so on my way home from school, I’d pick a bunch of wildflowers and gently tuck them into its fur—those were the most heartfelt gifts I could give it.

Now, I’ve hand-made hundreds of styles of artificial flowers, each delicate and brightly colored. But that little one who used to wait patiently to wear the flowers is gone forever, never getting the chance to put one on again.

I only wish that more lovely “puppies” could wear the flowers I make, and that the heavy love I have for my little companion would continue through every bloom—warming more fluffy little lives, always and forever.
